Combined Internal Medicine Residency and Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program (NRP Program Code: 1743140C3)

The Internal Medicine Residency and Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program is a total of four years – three years of training in the categorical Internal Medicine residency before advancing into the one-year Geriatric Medicine Fellowship.  This program offers excellent training in both Internal medicine and Geriatric Medicine.  The Internal core Medicine curriculum is not altered, but residents are offered additional elective time in geriatrics, with a structure similar to that of other pathways.

Residents in the IM-Geriatrics program have early exposure to geriatric medicine with additional clinical rotations and mentorship. Additional rotations for residents in this program replace some elective and/or pathway rotations in the categorical training curriculum.
