The summer is a time of promise and hope as we celebrate the accomplishments of our graduates while preparing to welcome a new class of trainees. This year, we welcome more than 100 residents and fellows, a diverse and accomplished class that will inspire the VCU Department of Internal Medicine.

For the past year, Dennis Hopkinson, M.D., H'18, has been researching sepsis and heart attacks with doctors and collaborators in Kigali, Rwanda—all from 7,000 miles away. Now, he’s heading to Durham, North Carolina, for a fellowship at Duke University.
