Associate Chair for Quality and Safety, Georgia N. McIntosh, MD
Georgia N. McIntosh, MD is an associate professor in the Division of Hospital Medicine. She received her medical degree at Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and completed her residency and chief year in internal medicine here at VCU. She is an avid educator and has completed her Graduate Certificate in Medical Education and previously served as a core educator in the Internal Medicine residency program and director of the Hospitalist pathway. She has been awarded Outstanding Ward Attending by the house staff and most recently earned the 2020 Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award presented by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation. Currently she serves as Associate Chair of Quality and Safety for the Department of Internal Medicine and maintains a strong interest in academic hospital medicine, quality improvement, patient safety, and medical education.
