Associate Chair for Quality and Safety, Stephen Biederman, MD
Dr. Stephen Biederman is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Hospital Medicine at VCU Health. He attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in Internal Medicine and was inducted into the AOA honor society. At VCU, he has served as the Quality and Safety Director for the Division of Hospital Medicine since January of 2020. He has worked to improve interdisciplinary collaboration and communication, connect institutional improvement efforts to frontline providers, and improve the care of patients with sepsis. Outside of work, he is a monthly contributor for a medical education podcast and volunteers at Crossover Clinic.
