In 2018, Patricia Le completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto majoring in Biochemistry and Psychology. During the last years of her undergrad, she became interested in gaining research experience. Since graduating, she has been working as a laboratory technician with the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine here at VCU. Currently, she is working in Dr. Acunzo’s lab on projects that examine the biological significance of edited and non-edited microRNAs in the context of lung cancer. Outside of the lab, Patricia spends her time volunteering with the Pediatrics Child Life Unit at VCU and with the Child Watch Team at the YMCA. In her free time, she loves to cook, read, and learn new things.
