Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism
The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism provides a complete range of state of the art services for patients with metabolic and hormonal disorders. Our faculty and staff provide inpatient services on the campus of VCU Medical Center and at the VA Medical Center in Richmond.
Outpatient care is provided in several convenient locations including the Adult Outpatient Pavilion on our main campus, VCU at Stony Point in suburban Richmond, and in conjunction with the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at Nelson Clinic and the Center for Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism on Parham Road.
Teaching and research serve as the background for the care the Division provides. Our faculty participates in the teaching of medical students, residents in Internal Medicine and Fellows in Endocrinology & Metabolism. We offer a two year Endocrinology & Metabolism Fellowship which is accredited by the ACGME. The Division is active in research and clinical trials including diabetes, osteoporosis, polycystic ovary syndrome and obesity.
