Dr. Howard Li is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University and a Physician in the Medical Service, Pulmonary Section at the Hunter Holmes McGuire Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Originally from Northern Virginia, Dr. Li received his Bachelor of Sciences in Chemistry at Stanford University followed by an MD degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He completed residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Colorado, where he served as Chief Medical Resident, and then completed a fellowship in Pulmonary Sciences and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Colorado. After fellowship, Dr. Li served on the faculty at the University of Colorado and was appointed the Director of Bronchoscopy at the Denver Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Li joined the faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2018.
