Research Trainees and Alumni

VCU’s Department of Internal Medicine has a robust and long standing research training program active across its ten divisions.  While some divisions include a mandatory research component in their Clinical Fellowship training, others offer opportunities for both clinical and laboratory research. The departmental research program attracts national as well as international candidates aiming to obtain their post-doctoral training in order to pursue independent research careers. In addition, as adjunct members of the basic science departments at VCU, Internal Medicine faculty actively participate in training Graduate Students.

To learn more about the specific research interests our faculty are pursuing, please visit the Department’s Research Specializations page.

Below are trainees that are currently working at DOIM or have trained here. The trainees are divided by the division of Internal Medicine they have trained or are training under.
