As part of grant acceptance requirements, almost all sponsors, including federal agencies, mandate specific regulations for grant recipients to follow. To comply with these federally mandated polices regarding responsible research conduct, institutions must set policies and practices that reflect those mandates and actively ensure through education and training that employees understand organizational expectations and management requirements of their grant awards.

The VCU Research Compliance Matrix was developed to facilitate the responsible conduct of research at VCU by providing VCU investigators with a single point of access for policy information, education and training programs, forms and submission processes.

Specific topics covered in the matrix are:

  • Animal Subjects
  • Award Acceptance and Establishment
