Dr. Kidd is currently the training program director for the Nephrology Fellowship at VCU. Dr. Kidd completed his undergraduate education at Duke University. He earned his medical degree at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. He completed both his Internal Medicine and Nephrology training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He returned to Virginia Commonwealth University in 2013 and is currently an Associate Professor of Medicine. 

Dr. Kidd’s clinical and research interest is in glomerular kidney disease and vasculitis. He is site primary investigator for the CureGN study at VCU. He also serves on the editorial board for the Kidney Self-Assessment Program (KSAP) for the American Society of Nephrology. He has received several teaching awards from internal medicine residents and was recognized by the School of Medicine with the Irby-James Award for excellence in clinical teaching in 2020.

Dr. Kidd lives with his wife, Sarah, and sons in Richmond. He enjoys traveling with his family and playing pick-up basketball. A native of New Hampshire, he is an avid Celtics, Red Sox and Patriots fan.
