Resident Ambassador Program

Prior to the interview day, applicants are paired with a current VCUHS resident based on similarities and shared interests (career choices, prior locations, prior education, or hobbies). The resident will contact the applicant prior to the interview day and be in attendance at the reception as a point of contact for the applicant during the interview experience.

The training program has negotiated a reduced rate at the Hampton Inn and Suites in downtown Richmond. While applicants are welcome to make alternative accommodations, the program recommends staying at the preferred hotel facility where shuttle services have been arranged to assist in making your visit to our program as convenient as possible. The night before each interview day, applicants are invited to attend a reception at one of two restaurants located directly in the hotel. Reservations are made by contacting the program coordinator, who will work with the hotel directly in reserving a room.
